Browsing the web recently I came across a new site Internet Home Alliance which offers a wealth of advice on home design and decorating – subjects dear to my heart. In fact I find my mind turning more and more to home decorating as we are soon moving country and I will be back in my own home rather than living in rented place.

One of the things I definitly want to update is my wall hangings and pictures. I intend to take a bunch of images back from the country I have been looking for and get them framed and hanging in my home. One of the tricks I know when looking a displaying pictures is to get an odd number – three or five pictures will look much better than two or four – not sure why – but its true!

Also I suspect that I may need to look at doing a bit of internal painting after the house has been lived in for several years by small children – maybe some new drapes and blinds too would be good idea.

Its tricky though because I am going to be selling the house within six months so its that balance of doing enough to make the home look appealing but not spending too much money – and certainly not expecting to get my money back from a few changes

Anyway I foudn the Internet Home Alliance really gave me some good ideas about what I could do to make the house look sharp without spending too much money!
