Finding A Replacement Mattress For Your Adjustable Bed

In today’s hectic world, lack of sleep is becoming a real problem for a large percentage of the general population. People are just not getting the amount of sleep their bodies require. In the quest for a perfect night’s sleep, many are abandoning the traditional flat bed in favor of a quality adjustable bed.

The head, back and foot sections are all adjustable. A remote control can raise and lower each section independently of the others. This allows each individual sleeper to find the most comfortable and restful sleeping position. Adjustable mattresses must be durable and capable of bending.

Unfortunately, as with most things in life, even the best build things will eventually wear out. It may become necessary at some point to find a replacement mattress for adjustable bed. There are a few things to keep in mind when looking for a new mattress.

A mattress performs two important functions; supporting your body during sleep, while providing a surface comfortable enough to allow you to rest. There are three main types of mattresses manufactured today. The traditional innerspring variety contains a number of steel coils within a rigid frame.

The other two types of mattresses have no rigid internal framework. Latex foam models consist of either a single block, or possibly several varied layers of high-density foam. They conform to the shape of the body better and provide a higher level of support then innerspring types.

The third type is air inflatable. These have several inner chambers filled with air. These mattresses have one distinct advantage over other types; by varying the amount of air in each chamber, the firmness of the mattress can be adjusted to suite individual preferences.

Finding the perfect replacement mattress for an adjustable bed can be a challenge, but a good night’s sleep is well worth the effort.
